SCHOLARSHIP NOTIFICATION
National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS)-
Inviting ONLINE applications from candidates of Exam year
2022, 2021, 2020 & 2019 on National Scholarship Portal 2.0 for
the project year 2023-24.
In light of Department of School Education & Literacy Ministry
of Education. Govt, of India notification No. 17-1/2023-SS,
dated: 25-09-2023. online applications are being invited w.e.f
1st of October, 2023 for grant of scholarship under National
Means Cum merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) by
Department of School Education and Literacy. Ministry of
Education. New Delhi through the Jammu and Kashmir Board of
School Education on National Scholarship Portal 2.0
(http://scholarships gov.in) by or before 30th of Nov, 2023.
The students of Class 9th who have qualified the National
Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Examination
2022 and whose parental Income from all sources is not more
than 3,50,000/- per annum are eligible for the said Scholarship
Scheme. The result of National Means cum Merit Scholarship
Scheme (NMMSS) Exam 2022 along with the important instructors for filing up application form online , guidelines of the
scheme are available on JKBOSE website www.jkbose.nic.in
The quantum of Scholarship is Rs 12,000 per annum to the
selected students of class IX and the continuation /renewal in
classes X to XII for study in Government schools under the
scheme. The students studying in ‘Kendriya Vidyalayas and
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are not entitled to get scholarship under this scheme.
Besides It Is also notified for information of all the concerned
candidates of NMMSS Exam year 2021, 2020 & 2019 who are
studying in the class 10th , 11th and 12th respectively during the
session 2023-24 and are in receipt of national means cum merit
scholarship scheme NMMSS can also submit online application
for the respective renewal instalments on National scholarship
Portal by or before 30th of Nov 2023. No extension will be provided this year under any condition.
The online applications submitted by candidates shall be verified by the concern Government School Level 1 verification by
or before 15th of Dec 2023 and subsequently level 2 verification
shall be done by concerned chief education officer of District
level by or before 30th of Dec 2023.
Note :The Heads of the institutions may get/reset their User ID
and Password from concerned Chief Education Officer
(Designated District Nodal Officer NMMS) to verify the students
online with in the stipulated time period for speedy disposal. For
