The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is looking for suitable candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a SERB-funded project titled “Understanding the genetic basis of hearing loss using zebrafish model” led by Dr. P. V. Ramchander.
Position Details:
• Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
• Number of Vacancies: 01
• Stipend: ₹31,000/- plus HRA
• Duration: 4 months or until the completion of the project
Eligibility Requirements:
• Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences or relevant subjects (including Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Bioinformatics) with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade (as per Government relaxation rules).
• Additional Criteria: Candidates must have cleared a national-level exam such as NET/LS-NET/GATE/GPAT/BET. Experience in genetics, bioinformatics, cell culture, or molecular biology techniques is desirable.
• Age Limit: Below 28 years as of 28.11.2024 (age relaxation applicable as per Government rules).
