UCIL invites applications from eligible Ex-ITI candidates for 228 Trade Apprentice positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This apprenticeship is for one year and will take place at UCIL units in the Jharkhand region.

2. Electrician: 80 posts
3. Welder (Gas & Electric): 38 posts
4. Turner / Machinist: 10 posts
5. Instrument Mechanic: 4 posts
6. Mech. Diesel / Mech. MV: 10 posts
7. Carpenter: 3 posts
8. Plumber: 3 posts
Total Vacancies: 228 posts
Unit-Wise Distribution:
• Jaduguda Unit: 100 vacancies
• Narwapahar Unit: 48 vacancies
• Turamdih Unit: 80 vacancies
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
• Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT.
2. Age Limit (as of 03.01.2025):
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 25 years
• Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PwD, and other categories as per government guidelines.
3. Previous Training:
• Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, are not eligible.
Stipend and Benefits
• A monthly stipend will be paid as per Rule 11 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
• No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for the document verification process or the training period.
Selection Process
• Selection will be based on merit, calculated from the percentage of marks obtained in the ITI course.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
Reservation Details
• Vacancies are reserved for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates as per government norms.
• Physically Handicapped Reservation: 3% of the total vacancies are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates.
