The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a public notice announcing the postponement of the UGC-NET December 2024 Examination scheduled on 15th January 2025. This decision was made in response to requests from aspirants citing festivals like Pongal and Makar Sankranti.
Key Details:
• Original Schedule: UGC-NET was to be held from 3rd January 2025 to 16th January 2025 for 85 subjects in CBT mode.
• Postponed Exam Date: 15th January 2025 (new date will be announced later).
• Unchanged Dates: Exams scheduled for 16th January 2025 will proceed as planned.
Purpose of the UGC-NET Examination:
The exam is conducted for the following objectives:
1. Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
2. Appointment as Assistant Professor.
3. Admission to Ph.D. Programs.
