Project Details:
• Project Title: Development of Decision Support System for Monitoring and Management of Emerging Aphid Pests in Apple Orchards
• Funding Agency: DST (Govt. of India)
Eligibility Criteria:
Essential Qualification:
• Post Graduate degree in Agriculture/Horticulture with specialization in Entomology
• Selection through:
a) National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET)/GATE
b) National-level selection process conducted by central government departments such as DST/DBT/ICAR
Desirable Experience:
• Expertise in insect curation and field experimentation
• Experience in entomological field experimentation in fruit crops
Salary & Duration:
• Emoluments:
• ₹31,000 + 18% HRA (First two years)
• ₹35,000 + 18% HRA (Third year)
• Contract Duration: Initially up to 27 December 2025 (extendable based on performance and fund availability)
Selection Criteria:
• 50 Marks: Essential qualification
• 5 Marks: Ph.D.
• 10 Marks: Experience (2 marks per year)
• 10 Marks: Publications (1 mark per publication)
• 5 Marks: Awards (1 mark per award)
• 20 Marks: Personal Interview
Additional Information:
• Age Limit:
• Maximum Age: 35 years
• Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/Female candidates, 3 years for OBC
• Other Terms:
• The position is purely temporary and does not guarantee regular employment
