Islamic University of Science & Technology Recruitment 2025: Contractual Assistant Professor(s)

Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Awantipora, Kashmir, invites online applications for contractual engagement as Assistant Professor(s) in Actuarial Mathematics and Urdu. These roles are on an academic arrangement basis, ending December 2025.

Available Positions

Emoluments

• PG (excluding Arch): ₹45,000/- per month
• NET/SET/GATE qualified: ₹48,000/- per month
• Ph.D. holder: ₹50,000/- per month

Contract Details

• Tenure: Up to December 2025, extendable for a maximum of 3 years based on performance, feedback, and requirement, or until a permanent appointment is made.
• Leaves/Vacations: As per university norms.

1. How to Apply:

• Complete the online application process and pay the non-refundable fee of ₹300.
• Submit hard copies of the application form along with self-attested documents to the office of the respective Department/Center.

• Applications must be submitted by the specified last date.

Selection Procedure

• Candidates will be shortlisted for interviews based on UGC Regulations 2018 parameters.
• Shortlisting Criteria:
• For one post, 20 candidates will be shortlisted.
• For additional posts, 5 candidates per post will be shortlisted.
• The final selection will be made through interviews, and the selection panel will remain valid for one year.

Additional Information

• Note: NET/SET/SLET qualifications are not required for Master’s programs where these exams are not conducted.
• Candidates with a Ph.D. from top-ranking international universities (QS, THE, ARWU rankings) are exempt from NET/SET/SLET.
