The National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) invites applications from eligible retired Government Servants for engagement as Consultant (Accountant) on a short-term contract basis. The positions are available at NSTI (Women) Mohali, Shimla, and J&K.
Details of the Vacancy:
1. Position: Consultant (Accountant)
2. Number of Posts: 03 (one at each location: Mohali, Shimla, and J&K)
3. Eligibility Criteria:
• Retired from the position of Accountant or equivalent in Central Government Ministries/Departments.
• Experience in handling Accounts matters in Central Government Offices.
• Knowledge of General Financial Rules (GFR) and GeM Procurement processes.
4. Age Limit: Not more than 63 years as of the issuance date of the vacancy circular.
5. Period of Engagement:
• Initially for 2 years, with a 1-month mandatory break after 11 months of service.
• Engagement is extendable based on performance and departmental requirements.
6. Scope of Work:
• Handle all accounts-related matters and associated correspondence.
7. Remuneration:
• As per Department of Expenditure’s guidelines (OM No. 3-25/2020-E.III A dated 09.12.2017).
8. Terms of Appointment:
• Engagement is purely on a short-term contractual basis and does not confer any right for regular appointment.
• The appointment may be terminated at any time by the Competent Authority without prior notice or reason.
