Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Product Owner at BQE, you will be instrumental in driving the development and success of our products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and development teams.
- Gather feedback and align product roadmaps with business goals.
- Facilitate decision-making by providing stakeholders with crucial insights.
- Backlog Management:
- Create, refine, and prioritize user stories, epics, and product backlog items.
- Ensure the backlog is clear and transparent to the team.
- Define and ensure acceptance criteria are met before release.
- Sprint Planning & Execution:
- Lead sprint planning sessions, clarifying tasks and priorities for the development team.
- Monitor progress and adjust priorities as needed to achieve sprint goals.
- User Experience & Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a great user experience.
- Validate product increments against acceptance criteria.
- Gather feedback to inform future product iterations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Enhance product development processes and team efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to keep our product competitive.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Aha).
Preferred Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in product management.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking.
- Agile certifications (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) are a plus.
