About the Recruitment
The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) invites online applications for 600 Accounts Assistant posts in the Finance Department under UT Cadre. Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile: Candidate must be a domicile of J&K and possess a valid domicile certificate.
- Educational Qualification: Graduation in any stream with minimum 50% marks (Open Merit) and 45% marks (Reserved Categories). Candidates with Post Graduation (50% marks) or PhD are also eligible.
- Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):
- Open Merit: 40 years
- SC/ST/OBC/RBA/ALC/IB/EWS: 43 years
- PwBD: 42 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 48 years
Application Fee
- General Category: ₹600
- SC/ST/EWS/PwBD: ₹500
- Mode of Payment: Online (Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card)
Selection Process
- Written OMR-based examination (Objective Type, MCQs).
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Final selection based on merit obtained in the written exam.
General Instructions
- Candidates must apply online through the JKSSB portal only.
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
- Document verification will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.
- Candidates must carry valid ID proof and recent photographs to the exam centre.
