Indian Oil Corporation Limited invites applications from eligible candidates for Apprenticeship Training across various trades and disciplines. Eligibility criteria

  • Nationality: Indian citizens only.
  • Age limit: Typically 18–24 years on the cutoff date; relaxations apply—SC/ST: 5 years, OBC(NCL): 3 years, PwBD: as per Govt. norms.
  • Educational qualification: As per the notified trade/discipline (Class XII + Skill Certificate for DOE; ITI for Trade Apprentices; Diploma for Technician Apprentices; Graduate for Graduate Apprentices).
  • Essential documents: Valid photo ID, caste/EWS/PwBD certificates (where applicable), domicile proof (if specified), and original mark sheets/certificates.
  • Training rules: Engagement and conduct as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and IOCL policy; Apprenticeship does not confer any right to permanent employment.

Stipend, benefits and leave

  • Stipend: As per Apprentices Act, 1961 and IOCL policy, aligned to trade/qualification category; paid monthly through DBT.
  • Leave/adherence: Apprentices are entitled to leave as per the Act and IOCL guidelines; adherence to attendance, safety, and discipline is mandatory.
  • Facilities: Access to training infrastructure, safety gear and unit-level amenities, as applicable.

Selection process

  • Merit and/or written test: IOCL may conduct a written test and/or prepare merit based on qualifying exam marks, followed by document verification.
  • Document verification: Original documents will be verified; mismatch or falsification leads to cancellation.
  • Medical fitness: Final engagement is subject to medical fitness as per IOCL/industrial standards.
